Create screen recording on iOS

Enable screen recording

iOS devices have a built-in screen recording function. To use this, you must first add it to your Control Centre:

Step 1: Open the Settings on your iOS device.
Step 2: Tap "Control Centre".
Step 3: Select "Customise Controls".
Step 4: Find "Screen Recording" in the list of available controls and tap the green plus sign (+) to add it to your Control Centre.
Step 5: Exit Settings.

Start a screen recording

Step 1: Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Control Centre.
Step 2: Tap the screen recording icon (a small circle with a dot in the middle).
Step 3: A countdown will start to give you time to prepare.
Step 4: After the countdown, recording will begin. You will see a red recording icon in the status bar.

Stop a screen recording

To stop recording, open the Control Centre again and tap the red recording icon. Alternatively, you can tap the red status bar indicator and select "Stop" from the pop-up menu.

Where are the recordings saved?

The recorded screen recordings are automatically saved in the Photos app.
