Why are ski resorts only displayed in winter?

The display of ski resorts in the app and on the website is seasonal: as ski resorts are less relevant to most users during the summer months, they are hidden over the course of summer and displayed again during the cold season.

This toggling on and off is done centrally for all users and cannot be customised individually. There is no fixed date for this — the changeover depends on the time of year.
