The rain radar is an important tool for tracking current precipitation events in your region. If the radar is not loading or not displaying real-time data, there can be several causes.
Common problems and solutions
1. The radar is not loading or showing a flashing animation:
This indicates a connection problem. First, check your internet connection. Close the app completely and restart it. Also clear the app cache in your device settings to remove outdated data.
2. The radar shows no precipitation across Europe:
Occasionally, temporary errors in data transmission can occur. This is a known issue that our technical team is working on. In such cases, we recommend trying the app again later or using the web version at weather24.co.uk.
3. The radar is showing outdated or missing data:
If you advance in the timeline, precipitation data may disappear. This is a limitation in the availability of historical data. However, current and future radar images should always be available.
Further steps
Update your app to the latest version, as improvements to the radar system are rolled out regularly. If problems persist, you can provide us with a screenshot via "Report a problem" – this helps our team resolve the issue more quickly.
We apologise for the inconvenience and are continuously working to improve the reliability of the rain radar.
