With the Weather24 widget, you can display weather information directly on the home screen of your Android device.
The exact procedure may vary slightly depending on your device, Android version and the home screen you use.
Adding the widget to your home screen

- Press and hold an empty area on your home screen.
- Tap "Widgets" in the menu that appears.
- Search for Weather24 in the widget overview.
- Select the desired widget.
- Press and hold the widget and drag it to an empty area of your home screen. On some devices, simply tapping the widget is sufficient.
- If necessary, select the location and any other available settings for the widget.
You can then move the widget or resize it depending on your device.
The Weather24 widget is not displaying correctly
If the widget is not displaying correctly, check the following steps:
- Open the Weather24 app and check whether current weather data is being loaded.
- Check your internet connection. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- If your current location is being used, allow the Weather24 app to access your location. If necessary, also enable precise location detection.
- Allow the app to use background data.
- Check whether Data Saver mode, Battery Saver mode or battery optimisation is restricting the app.
- Try disabling VPN connections, ad blockers, DNS filters or other network filters.
- Delete the widget and then add it back to your home screen.
