The Problem: Blinking sun or slow loading of the live camera
If you see a blinking sun when accessing a live camera in the Weather24 app or the webcam does not load, this is a common issue. This can have various causes and can usually be resolved quickly.
What you can do
1. Restart the app
Close the Weather24 app completely and then open it again. This is often the quickest way to resolve the issue.
2. Check your internet connection
Make sure you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi or mobile network. Live cameras require a reliable internet connection to load video streams.
3. Clear app cache
Go to your smartphone settings under Apps → Weather24 → Storage and tap on Clear cache. Then restart the app.
4. Reinstall the app
If the problem persists, uninstall the Weather24 app completely and reinstall it from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Why does this happen?
The blinking sun indicates that the app is trying to load the live camera data but is unable to do so completely. This can be caused by temporary network issues, overloaded servers or problems with the live camera stream itself. After a short time, the live camera usually works again.
Note: If the problem occurs permanently with a specific live camera, this may also mean that the webcam itself is experiencing technical difficulties and is currently unavailable.
